Hello TarValon.Net! Please join me in welcoming several new Reporters and several returning Reporters to the Tar Valon Times team! I get very excited whenever new members join us - it infuses our team with fresh energy and ideas, and that is always a good thing. All five of our new Reporters - Calen Velervron, Fern Al'Thorn, Jeffan Caliarthan, Mystica Ari'Yena, and Blu al'Eloquene - participated in the creation of this edition of the TVT, alongside our returning Reporters. I know you'll enjoy the engaging articles the team has written for you this month!

Unless you've been living under a rock (which, I admit, I have done at times) you know that TV.Net will be switching to a new forum hosting service within the next week. This is both exciting and terrifying. 

It is exciting because many of us are continually frustrated by vBulletin (our current hosting service) and the new system promises to be a vast improvement. It also also exciting because our avatars will now be 200x200 size, which means we can actually see the details of the incredible avatars we all have. I know I'll enjoy getting to see many of your "faces" up close!

The move to the new forum hosting service is also terrifying. Change is always challenging for just about everyone involved, and the Tech Team is sure to encounter some bumps in the road. They're working hard to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible, but you just never know what might happen. 

And speaking of not knowing what is going to happen, we have no idea what the TVT will be like in the new forum! So this coming month is sure to be quite an adventure for me and my team as we navigate the new system and try to figure out how to produce new content for you. But we're up for the challenge and we're committed to bringing you a new edition on August 1 on the new site! Until then ...
