She gets her horse and returns to her inn, where the innkeeper - Mistress Chinchonine - is sour, as there is a lack of patrons. Min speaks with Rafela's Warder, Mahiro Shukosa, who says that the Aes Sedai are furious, but he refuses to tell her why. Bera Harkin and Kiruna Nachiman enter the common room, where Min gets a viewing: a brownish-yellow and deep purple aura. Min hears Kiruna say that Alanna should have brought Rand under control. Min wonders why they are not in the Waste. The Warder with them tells Min that they were halfway to Cairhien, then they heard Rand was in Caemlyn. He hints at the fact that Rand is in trouble with Aes Sedai. Min notes that there are now thirteen Aes Sedai, and gallops back to the palace to warn Rand.
