General
Balasun was one of the nations of the Free Era. Balasun was located in the southeastern part of the Westlands. To the west was the Aryth Ocean, with Elan Dapor to the north, Dhowlan to the east, and Kharendor to the southeast. Eventually, this area of land became what is now Tarabon and the Shadow Coast.
Guaire Amalasan had taken Balasun sometime around FY 940, less than a year and a half after proclaiming himself the Dragon Reborn in Darmovan.
By FY 963, Hawkwing had conquered Balasun.
