Senior Member Interview

- What is your Tower name?
Keara Careen
- When were you raised to Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah?
August 2007 at Europarty in the Netherlands
- Why did you choose Brown?
Although I love the other Ajahs, there was no other choice for me. I enjoy research and learning. In addition, the Browns on this site are the most laid back and intelligent group of women. I'm obviously biased.
- Are you like the Browns in the Books?
Absolutely.
- Do you love books and do you daydream a lot?
Yes.
- How was your time as Citizen/Novice/Accepted?
I loved every stage of the Tower, though being a citizen could be frustrating because of all the spam. It was wonderful getting to know different people in the Tower at each level. Being a Novice and Accepted was wonderful as I met some people who are now close friends.
- How long have you been a member of TV.net?
Since 2004, but active again only for about two years.
- What things do you do for TV.net?
Right now, I'm working on a research project for the Tower library, though it has been put on hold while I apply to graduate school. I hope I contribute in a positive way.
- How did you get to read the Series?
I discovered the books when I was about thirteen. I loved fantasy and adventure at that age and so I picked up Eye of the World and was hooked.
- To whom are you bonded, if you're bonded?
Not bonded.
- Who is your mentee, if you have one?
I do not yet have a mentee.
- Who is your favorite character of the Series? Favorite Nation?
I have numerous favourite characters. I'm fond of Nynaeve, Verin, Mat, Tuon, Cadsuane, and a few others I find interesting. My favourite nation is Arafel.
- Have you ever attended any Real Life Functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)
I attended Europarty this past year, and I loved it. I was raised to Aes Sedai so it was a very positive experience. Everyone was warm and friendly and it was great putting faces to posts. It's really up to the person if they want to attend a real life function. It is a time and money commitment and can be intimidating, but it's also a fantastic experience and a great way to meet people from all over the world.
- What kind of music do you like?
I can't narrowly define my music taste. I like a variety of genres, including glam, pop, classical, folk, rock, etc.
- What are your favorite movies?
Big fan of nature documentaries
- What is the craziest/stupidest thing you've ever done?
There have been too many embarrassing stupid things I've done to count. I'm not a huge risk taker though, so not too many "crazy things."
- What job do you have?
I currently teach English as a second language in Hungary.
- Do you have a pet?
Yes, only the most adorable cat in the world, Mr. B. Unfortunately, he lives with my parents right now.
- What languages do you speak?
English and German
- What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?
Writer or Professor
- Seanchan or Shara?
Seanchan
- Verin or Adeleas?
Verin
- Board games or computer games?
Board games
- Coke or Pepsi?
Coke
- A short bio about yourself.
I'm 22, I currently live in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, I'm travelling quite a bit right now, I enjoy history, hiking, comic books, and I think portly animals and young children look better than those of the skinny persuasion.
