General
Shalon din Togara Morning Tide is a Sea Folk Windfinder to Clan Shodein. She is Harine's sister, pretty and young looking, with eight earings (ACoS, Ch. 34).
Miscellaneous
- She dislikes horses, especially their teeth (WH, Ch. 23).
- Lime most of the Sea Folk, she knows little other than the basic history and geography of the shorebound (WH, Ch. 24).
- She is stronger in the One Power than Verin and Kumira (WH, Ch. 35).
- She thinks Traveling wonderful, especially when she learns the trick of opening a gateway around a foot off the deck.
Relationships
Her sister, Harine is clan Wavemistress (WH, Ch. 13). She is much older than Harine and was charged with raising her along with her own child (WH, Ch. 23). They are close, but are very conscious of their different ranks and have not been particularly friendly since before Harine was made sailmistress (WH, Ch. 24).
Her husband isMishael (WH, Ch. 23).
Timeline
- She meets with Rand on the deck of the White Spray (ACoS, Ch. 34).
- Rand ties her and Ailil up when he finds them together when Gedwyn, Rochaid and Dashiva attack the palace (TPoD, Ch. 29).
- Cadsuane finds and kidnaps them to try and find out why they were together (WH, Ch. 13)
- Verin manages to get her and Ailil to admit to being pillow-friends. Cadsuane decides to blackmail her into spying by using this (WH, Ch. 13).
- She goes with Cadsuane and the others to Far Madding after Rand. Harine tells her to spy on Cadsuane in the hope of learning Traveling, using her desire to learn Traveling as leverage (WH, Ch. 23).
- She leaves Far Madding and goes to Shadar Logoth with Rand (WH, Ch. 35)
- She links with Verin and Kumira and faces one of the Forsaken (WH, Ch. 35)
- She goes with Verin, Harine and Moad to Tear, where they learn of Nesta's death and then to Illian (CoT, Ch. 23).
- She goes with Harine to a meeting of the first twelve in Illian where she learns of the death of the Amayar and that Rand wants the Sea Folk to take supplies to Arad Doman (KoD, Ch. 22).
