Lothair Mantelar was the founder of the Children of the Light (Robert Jordan's World of "The Wheel of Time").

In FY 1021, at the beginning of the War of the Hundred Years, he established the Children as preachers against Darkfriends and the Shadow (Robert Jordan's World of "The Wheel of Time").

He wrote the book "The Way of the Light", which plays a factor in making Galad become a Child later (The Shadow Rising, Chapter 17).
