Why did you choose Gray?
It felt like Home. :)
Are you like the Grays in the books? Do you enjoy following politics and mediating disputes?
I love finding ways for people to get along and understand each other. I'm always trying to find different analogies and ways of looking at things, especially when people are disagreeing and it would help if they could just understand the other person's point of view.
Do you have a favorite Gray Ajah character from the novels?
Toss up between Kwamesa and Yukiri.

How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?
1996
How did you first get into the series?
A boy I liked was reading it so I did the stupid thing where you ask someone what they're reading and grab their book from them. I read "the Aiel came over the Dragonwall in a flood" and a chill went down my spine. I actually dropped the series for quite a few years after Winter's Heart, but had a chance to meet Robert Jordan at a convention and was so impressed by that momentary encounter that I immediately picked it up again.
Who is your favorite "hero"?
Mat, he's hilarious! And it took me way to long to realize that the chapters from his point of view were really colored by his perceptions of people.
Favorite bad guy/gal?
Graendal, I like that we get to see inside her head in a few chapters, which isn't the case with most of the bad guys. We can really see how much she's always thinking and trying to stay ahead of everyone else.
Favorite book and scene?
Just about everything with Lan. Egwene becoming Amyrlin. The girls bonding Rand. Nynaeve healing Siuan and Leane. So many good scenes...
If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?
I'd love to be a channeler, but realistically I can see myself as a scholar at the School of Cairhien.

How did you find TarValon.Net and what convinced you to stay and become Tower Sworn?
Kyla recruited me in a NaNo chat room. I actually didn't stay at that time but came back years later. I was looking for new online friends, especially those that could transition to RL friends, and I remembered all the RL events the Tower has.
What do you do in "real life"?
I'm a web developer for an advertising agency.
Do you have any hobbies?
I like to watch anime, read (as do we all probably) and take any excuse to dress up in a costume.
What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?
Lots of kinds, but things from soundtracks and musicals tend to float to the top. Gladiator is my #1 movie soundtrack and Phantom of the Opera is my favorite musical.
What are some of your favorite movies / television shows?
Movies: Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, Practical Magic, and just about any Marvel superhero or Disney animated movie. TV: Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Firefly, The Office.
Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favorite books/series?
The Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kerner, the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, anything by Peter S. Beagle, Patricia Briggs, or Brandon Sanderson.
What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?
First a vet (because that's what all of my friends said) and then an aerospace engineer (so I could work for NASA).
