General

Corevin is a Cairhienin Redarm in Shen en Calhar, the Band of the Red Hand. He is thickly muscled with a big nose and small eyes. He has tattoos of a leopard and a boar on one arm and a lion and a nude woman on the other.

He looks after Olver as if he were his uncle. Mat is sure that the boy picked up some of his bad habits from the Redarms.

He is the only one Mat knew who could drink Ebou Dari ale, not to mention in the unnatural heat.

Timeline

  • Corevin is injured in a fight with a fish-seller. Vanin bandages Corevin's middle in the common room of The Wandering Woman, while Harnan berates him. When Mat returns from the Tarasin Palace, he knows he would not get to know the truth if he asked (ACoS, Ch. 17).
  • Later, the Redarms move from the inn to the barracks in the Tarasin Palace (ACoS, Ch. 28).
