Cormanes is a man from Moiraine's past, possibly a Cairhienin noble. He was young and beautiful when Moiraine last saw him.
He kissed her the night before Moiraine was sent to the White Tower. When Siuan mentions kissing Cal, a footman in the Aesdaishar Palace in Kandor, she asks Moiraine how many men she has kissed since Cormanes and Moiraine wonders how long it has been since she last thought of him.
