Joinde is an Aiel woman of the Black Rock sept of the Shaarad Aiel. She was a Maiden who followed Rand until she gave up the spear to marry.
The man that she married was Garan of the Jhirad Goshien, whom she had taken as gai'shain. This is odd because the Shaarad and Goshien clans have a blood feud.
