Pevin was a Cairhienin man who was Rand's banner carrier. His wife and sister died in the famine and his brother and son in the civil war. Two other sons and another brother were also killed trying to escape and a daughter was taken by the Shaido. This left him feeling that there was nothing to live for except to stay close to Rand and see his family avenged. He was expressionless, with a long scar running up his narrow face from his chin to his thinning hair (TFoH, Ch. 46). Pevin accompanies Rand when he mounts the raid on Caemlyn to kill Rahvin and is killed by a Trolloc spear (TFoH, Ch. 54; Ch. 55).
