Verdin is a squadman in the Band of the Red Hand (LOC: 40). He accompanies Mat into Salidar when Mat goes looking for Elayne and Egwene (LOC: 38). When they discover there are no rooms in Salidar, Verdin, Mat and the others rent room in a stable (LOC: 44).
