TarValon.Net held its 18th Anniversary Party in Ariel, Washington, USA, March 22-25, 2019.

I actually think that this Anni was one of the best we've ever had. It wasn't grand like 10th Anni, but it was cozy. We all had to pull together as a team to get things done and keep people warm (zomg was it cold). One of the real highlights of the weekend was this tiny amphitheatre out back of the main cabin where we had a bonfire and told stories. We had a real Q&A of how the Tower began and how we got to where we are now.
The Amyrlin's tournament was one of the most fun things I've seen. We had welly wanging, which was hilarious in and of itself. The sword fighting was fierce. Drake and Eren really fought hard. We had so much fun at trivia with all of the competition. The contestants in the competitive puzzle building contest were still giggling over it at dinner. It was all fierce, but friendly and so much fun.
We also took a night to remember Jaim. We told stories and drank scotch in his memory. He has been a huge influence on the Tower and the fact that even our newest members had a story of how warm and welcoming Jaim was showed that.
Over all, I think it might even have been better than 10th because we all bonded in a way. We all were powerfully reminded that making memories is a precious thing. And we made some good ones.

There was a Silent Auction, the proceeds of which went to the philanthropy focus. To raise money for the Tower, there were 3.5" magnets, 3.5" vinyl stickers, and 1.75" enamel pins for sale.
Philanthropy
The charitable focus of Anniversary Party 2019 was Ronald McDonald House charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington, an organization which provides a "home away from home" and a community of support for seriously ill or injured children and their families. Donations accepted were gift cards, as well as things such as travel toiletries and arts and crafts supplies that are easily transportable in suitcases.
