Cairdin is a young Aiel; he is of the Moshaine sept of the Shaido Aiel and belongs to the Far Aldazar Din society.
He is one of the Shaido dispersed by Sammael and Graendal to create chaos; he reports to Maeric, the sept chief of the Moshaine, that the gateway through which they Traveled has put them close to a wetlander army.
