Danil is one of the children born in the Murandian camp outside of Tar Valon during the Aiel War.

After his mother witnesses Moiraine's friendliness with Susa Wynn, she tries to get some coin as well by telling her that Danil has been a little sick of late. In an attempt to get rid of her, Moiraine offers to Heal him, which he probably would not survive, but Danil's mother rejects.
