Guilds
The Guilds were designed to be a means of providing a sense of community that transcended rank. They were primarily based around the idea of a professional networking group such as you would find in The Wheel of Time world. They were not meant to take the place of Ajahs and Companies, nor were they equal to them. Many people never joined a Guild, and it was not a necessary part of our community's experience. Guilds were simply meant to provide a place for people with similar interests to come together and discuss various aspects of those interests.
The Guild forums existed for five years. They were discussed at the 2005 Admin Meeting and implemented in 2006. Due to various reasons the Guilds were dissolved after the 2011 Admin Meeting and replaced with Discussion Forums.
