Ladwin is a scout in Mat's Band of the Red Hand. He is short, stocky and mild-seeming (LoC, Ch. 40).
Timeline
- While scouting Salidar, Vanin sees Mar, another scout, being taken by one of the Warders and expects that the same has happened to Ladwin (LoC, Ch. 38).
- He is plainly embarrassed at the ease of his capture (LoC, Ch. 40).
- He stays with Mat and three other soldiers of the Band in the stable, because the houses are full of Aes Sedai and initiates (LoC, Ch. 44).
- He tales part in the defence of Caemlyn (AMoL, Prologue)
