General
This Andoran city lies west of Caemlyn along the Caemlyn Road, on the banks of the River Arinelle (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).
The city gets its name from the huge snow-white bridge that spans the river. The town grew up around the large stone-paved square at the foot of the bridge’s eastern side (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).
The White Bridge is the only bridge crossing the Arinelle south of Maradon in Saldaea, so trade flourishes in the town (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).
City Layout and Buildings
General
Most buildings in the town are made of stone or brick and the docks are made of wood (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).
Larger than Emond's Field, the town has wood and brick houses as large as those in Taren Ferry. The White Bridge dominates the town (TEotW, Ch. 26).
Shops of every description line the streets and many merchants work outside in front of their shops (TEotW, Ch. 26).
In the center of town is a large square paved by worn stones. Inns, shops and tall red brick houses surround the square (TEotW, Ch. 26).
The gate out of the town towards Caemlyn is made of chickwood bound with iron straps; it is manned by two gatetenders in conical steel caps, mail and cheap red coats (TEotW, Ch. 26).
Buildings and Landmarks
- The White Bridge (arches high over the river, made of a milky white substance that seems to glow and appears to be made of one piece; spidery piers of the same substance plunge into the river that appear too fragile to hold up their weight) (TEotW, Ch. 26).
- The Wayfarer's Rest Inn
People and Customs
General
All classes of people live in Whitebridge. Merchants drive lacquered carriages (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).
